international standard as a transitional point for opiates ,
Cocaine, Hashish…. This classification is based on a reports
of Drugs trades in this world . These standards study the
criminal profile in countries and put points for each topic
of it . needless to be surprised , Syria is also a main
money laundering point in the middle east .
We should connect this
fact to the fact of being a transitional point for drugs
trafficking. According to CIA fact book, the weak banking
system is permitting for money laundering to be a fact in
Syria .It admits that the p[privatization of banking sector
will increase the money laundering . If we connect all that
to the number of execution per year in Syria we will be
surprised . The Drug trafficker in Syria is punished by
hanging. Just 7 have been executed last year in Syria .
This proves also the inactive law application.
Along the high way
connects Aleppo to the Turkish boarder which has been named
recently Gazi-Entap Highway , a lot of luxurious
villas has been built in recent years . Syria which has a
tiny economic sector can’t justify those high number of
villas . Most of those villas are not know whence they have
been funded.
A lot of those owners are
working in sectors which can’t justify their own of these
luxurious Villas and Palaces. Yes ,there are a lot of people
who have factories and have also a high yearly income reason
their own of palaces and villas , however, the surprise here
is that a lot of them also has a parallel activity to their
original one manufacturing , it is Drug trafficking .
During the past 3 years ,
the income of the industrial sector is in decline in Syria .
Maybe due to the continuous increase of fuel prices. Maybe
the quality itself plays an important rule in this decline .
The completion between the Syrian products and the imported
one is not fair. The technology and the raw materials are
far better in the imported products. Only the textile
sector is far from this rule . Syrian Cotton is one of the
best in the world , However , a lot of bankruptcies in this
sector have been erupted in last three Years . The reasons
of this bankruptcies are well known , the competition of
Chinese textile is the major reason of all than .It is an
pandemic .
I have met one of
x-traffickers . He was quiet when he was talking . “yes I
was a trafficker “ he said replying to my question if he
was a trafficker or not . he added “ this was the only
activity which could guarantee a respected income “
Respected income means in
his terms the luxurious life . The trafficker which talked
to me has retired and he is living a luxurious life which he
wanted to life and had been a trafficker to live it .
